About Valerie Clark

Valerie Clark is a retired educator who will listen to you and serve as your conservative voice in the Georgia House of Representatives.  She was a teacher in Gwinnett County and then principal for Duluth Middle School, Shiloh Middle School, and Central Gwinnett High School.  In her thirty-eight years in the field she was principal of a National School of Excellence and a State of Georgia School of Excellence.  As a recipient of a Danforth Scholarship, she was an attendee of the Harvard Principals' Institute.  Valerie received the President's Awards from Phi Delta Kappa and the Georgia Middle Association for service.  She was awarded a PTA Lifetime Membership and was chosen as a Georgia PTA Principal of the Year.  Valerie is a graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh with an M.Ed. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia.  She is married to Dr. Bob Clark, a retired school administrator, and has two children, Pearson and Barrett.  Pearson is a recent Georgia graduate, and Barrett is a UGA senior.
